Hi there. I prefer to go by the alias tlemo, but no harsh feelings if you find my real name.
I am a writer first, artist second, and programmer third. "Oh, so you must write books!" No. Actually,
books are probably among my least favorite mediums of storytelling. Nothing against it, I just prefer
the interactive, or at least the visual.
More specifically, ever since my wretched feet landed on the dark soil of this world, I was always
interested in making video games myself. A big part of that may have been Roblox and/or Minecraft.
I think a main thing, though, was diving into the internet at a young age. I was exposed to places
like DeviantArt and Youtube, where a cult of individuality and creativity thrived. There was horror
unlike any other, a constant stream of entertainment greater than most, and best of all, a medium
perfect to throw whatever out. Witnessing this unfold influenced me. And I'm proud to contribute to
the independent web by making this website.
Everything. Videos, art, blogs. It is meant as a substitute to social media accounts.
Still won't say my name, but I am an autistic guy with years of coding and art experience, on top of
some musical work. I have been in one technical school, am en route (as of writing) to another, and
have coded a number of programs, namely games, for both the web and for Windows platforms. As of
recently, my focus has switched towards pushing out games for Linux, of which I am a daily driver. I
have also worked with other internet users in fleshing out their characters, and I am responsible for
a worldbuilding series, for which I am making a game; I'm planning a wiki for that world here on this
very website.
I am experienced in HTML and CSS (some subtle hints to this have been sprinked in this webpage),
Javascript, C#, GDScript, Lua, and the Bash scripting language and terminal. My current goto engine
for game development is Godot, but I've previously made games in Unreal, Unity, Roblox, and Scratch
(2 & 3). I use Krita for drawing and painting, GIMP for photo-editing, Inkscape for graphics design,
Neovim (with numerous plugins) for coding, Blender for everything 3D, and Olive for editing videos.
Yes, my entire workflow revolves around FOSS. As a new NixOS user, this is MUCH easier than coding a
nuclear reactor in Wine just to run Affinity Photo.
